Agoda is hiring a Data Analyst for a six-month contract within the Rocket Travel - Product department, based in Bangkok, Thailand. The role sits in the Data Analytics team and supports stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Partners Services by delivering project-oriented analyses such as predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and dashboard design. The analyst owns projects end-to-end, from problem definition and data extraction to statistical analysis, visualization, and communication of findings.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with up to two years of relevant experience working with large datasets and experimentation. Required skills include SQL proficiency, expert-level Excel, strong problem-solving ability, business sense, and fluent English. Experience with R or Python and visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
Work with stakeholders to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for analysis insight to inform their decision-making
Understand and report to your team and senior management on business performance
Ensure delivery of regular reports on time and without error
Self-manage delivery of analytical projects, including defining the business problem, determining the analytical approach, extracting relevant data, and applying statistical and data analysis techniques
Share findings using impactful data visualizations and efficient communication, while balancing multiple priorities and updating stakeholders on progress
Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science or a related degree program with outstanding academic results
Up to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably working with large datasets and experimentation
SQL proficiency required: can extract data from large databases using SQL to develop data queries
Expert Excel user: able to understand and build complex spreadsheets
Fluent in English both spoken and written
Experience in management consulting (internship or full time)
Expertise in one data analysis package such as R or Python
Experience with dashboarding or visualization software like Tableau
