Makro PRO, the digital B2B venture of Makro, is hiring a Frontend Engineer to transform design and product vision into working products for its B2B e-commerce platform serving restaurants, hotels, and independent retailers. The role involves applying agile engineering practices and modern development technologies to build user-friendly front-end systems, design front-end logic, and integrate applications with internal and external data sources.
Candidates must have experience with ReactJS and NextJS, basic experience with React Native, and hands-on experience in either Android or Swift. They should also be skilled in HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, ES6+, responsive design, RESTful APIs, and writing unit, integration, and end-user automation tests. Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and analytics platforms such as Segment or Mixpanel is a plus.
Using agile engineering practices and modern development technologies, transform the design into a user-friendly product, giving feedback and suggesting trade-offs when required
Design and develop the guts and logic of the front-end systems of the product
Decipher existing software systems and link the application to applicable internal and external data sources
Stay on top of fast-changing client development frameworks and industry trends
Write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests
Experience with ReactJS and NextJS is a must
At least basic experience with React Native is required
Hands-on experience in either Android or Swift
Demonstrable experience with HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, ES6+ and responsive design
Understanding of distributed architecture and usage of RESTful APIs
Experience with analytics platforms such as Segment, Mixpanel
Experience working with GraphQL APIs
Exposure to mobile development with native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks
