About the position
Agoda is hiring a Frontend/Full Stack Engineer Manager based in Bangkok, Thailand, with relocation provided. The role leads a team of engineers building scalable, high-performance web applications that power user experiences at global scale, working closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities include leading front-end and full-stack development, shaping architecture across state management, SSR, micro-frontends, and API integration, and ensuring features are performant and production-ready. Candidates need strong experience leading teams building large-scale web applications with React, Angular, or Vue, hands-on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, and knowledge of web performance, scalability, CI/CD, and integration with backend services via REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers building scalable, reliable, and user-friendly web applications and product experiences
Drive the development of front-end and full-stack solutions across core product areas
Shape architecture across areas such as state management, SSR, micro-frontends, and API integration
Ensure new features are performant, maintainable, observable, and production-ready
Mentor engineers and grow team capability in both modern web engineering and evolving product development practices
Requirements
Strong experience leading teams building large-scale web applications with React, Angular, or Vue
Solid hands-on expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript and front-end development
Strong knowledge of web performance optimization, scalability, and frontend best practices
Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services through REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets
Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment for web applications
Nice to have
Exposure to full-stack development and backend technologies such as C#, Kotlin, or Scala
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with mobile web, cross-platform frameworks, or cloud platforms
Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and SEO for large-scale web products
