About the position
AFRY is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Renewable Energy team in Bangkok, Thailand, supporting consultancy and engineering assignments across South-East Asia. The role involves preparing conceptual designs and feasibility studies for solar PV, onshore wind, BESS and other renewable projects, conducting energy yield analysis, technical due diligence, EPC tendering, and acting as lenders engineer.
Candidates need an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant engineering field and 3-7 years of experience in renewable energy technologies, with hands-on experience in Solar PV, Wind Power and/or BESS preferred. Proficiency in tools such as PVsyst, WAsP, WindPRO or HOMER, basic GIS knowledge, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English are required.
Responsibilities
Prepare conceptual design and feasibility studies for solar PV, onshore wind, BESS and other renewable power projects
Participate in EPC tendering, negotiations with EPC contractors, IPP bidding and PPA negotiations
Prepare technical due diligence for acquisition or financing of renewable energy projects
Conduct energy yield analysis for solar and wind power projects and act as lenders engineer
Conduct site visits, data analysis, reporting, cost estimation and financial analysis
Requirements
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering relevant to renewable energy
3-7 years' experience in renewable energy technologies
Hands-on experience with Solar PV, Wind Power and/or BESS studies
Proficiency in PVsyst, WAsP, WindPRO, HOMER or similar software
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Nice to have
Experience with offshore wind, battery storage, hydrogen, biomass and waste-to-energy projects
Basic understanding of project cost and financial analysis
