AFRY, an international power sector consulting and engineering company, is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer/Senior Engineer for solar PV and wind power projects in its Bangkok office. The role involves providing civil and structural design inputs for conceptual and feasibility studies, preparing technical specifications for tendering, acting as Owner's Engineer to review EPC compliance, commenting on EPC design documents, and participating in design review meetings.
Candidates need a Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 5 years of civil and structural design experience, including 2 years on engineering design or design reviews. Experience in thermal power, solar, or wind projects, familiarity with international codes (EUROCODE, ACI, IBC, ASCE, AISC), proficiency in SAP2000, STAADPRO, ROBOT, and good English and Thai communication skills are required.
Provide civil and structural design inputs in conceptual design studies, feasibility studies and technical due diligence assessments for renewable energy projects
Prepare technical specifications related to civil and structural works for solar PV and wind power projects, to be used for tendering purposes
Act as the Owner's Engineer responsible to check EPC compliance to the Owner's Technical Specifications related to design of civil and structural works
Review and comment on the EPC's civil and structural design documents including drawings, specifications and design calculations
Participate in design review meetings and coordinate with Owner's Engineer site engineers for any civil and structural site issues related to design
Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
At least 5 years' experience in Civil works design and Structural Design, with at least 2 years spent on engineering design or design reviews
Knowledge of using international codes such as EUROCODE, ACI, IBC, ASCE, AISC
Computer-literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP 2000, STAADPRO and ROBOT
Good command of English and Thai language communication skills
Experience in Thermal Power plant, solar farm and wind farm projects; engineering license level I or higher in Thailand
