About the position
AFRY is hiring a Civil / Structural Engineer to support engineering and design delivery for industrial, power generation, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects across Thailand and Southeast Asia. The role involves structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, preparing calculations and technical documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Candidates need a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, a Thai Associate Engineer License (Level 1) from the Council of Engineers, and 4–8 years of civil/structural design experience, preferably in industrial, power, renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects. Proficiency in SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit, TEKLA Structures, or Civil 3D is required, along with knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE, and Eurocodes.
Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, including foundations, slabs, frames, equipment supports, and industrial facilities.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design documents, specifications, and construction drawings.
Develop and review structural models using SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or equivalent tools.
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, BIM teams, and other disciplines to ensure design integration.
Support FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including Due Diligence, Technical Advisory, and Owner's Engineer design review projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Associate Engineer License (Level 1) issued by the Council of Engineers (COE), Thailand.
4–8 years of experience in civil and structural engineering design, preferably in industrial, power, renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
Working knowledge of international codes and standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and Eurocodes.
Proficiency in SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and experience with Revit, TEKLA Structures, or Civil 3D.
Nice to have
Experience with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, IDEA StatiCa, or Tekla Structural Designer.
