About the position
AFRY is recruiting a Project Manager for Renewable Energy to act as project manager and deputy PM for solar PV and wind farm owner's engineer construction assignments in the APAC region. The role involves managing the Owner's Engineer team across design review, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning supervision, with optional involvement in preliminary design, functional specifications, and EPC contract negotiations.
Candidates need a higher professional engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher), more than 5 years' experience in solar/wind power from utilities, IPP developers, engineering firms, or power sector consultancies, and fluency in English and Thai. Strong report writing, presentation, client interaction, and cross-cultural collaboration skills are required.
Responsibilities
Project management of the Owner's Engineer team for design review, manufacturing, construction and commissioning supervision
Optional: Project management of the Owner's Engineer team for preliminary design, preparation of functional specifications and EPC contract negotiations
Requirements
Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc. or higher)
More than 5 years' work experience in solar/wind power from power utilities, IPP developers, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies
Fluency in English and Thai language
Good report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
Experience in client interaction and capability to meet deadlines
Nice to have
Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures; ability to work independently; interest/experience in preliminary design and EPC contract negotiations
