About the position
UOB Thailand is hiring an Inward Remittance Manager to oversee inward remittance processing operations in Bangkok. The role involves managing and coaching staff, developing and improving processing procedures in line with Bank of Thailand regulations, monitoring daily transactions, reconciling reports, and coordinating with business units, branches and customers to resolve operational issues.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in Social Science (preferably Economics, Accounting or Mathematics), 3-5 years of banking experience in Operations such as Remittance, Treasury Operations or Trade Services, at least 3 years in a supervisory role, knowledge of Exchange Control Law, BOT rules and AMLO, plus strong written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
Develop and recommend revisions to processing procedures to improve efficiency and comply with BOT regulations
Manage, coach and train staff within the supervised area to ensure timely and efficient transaction processing
Appraise performance and recommend promotions and career paths for direct reports
Assist the AVP Forward Remittance in projects related to products under supervision, including software/programme development testing and compliance
Monitor and authorize daily transactions, reconcile reports and GL, and resolve operational issues and customer complaints
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, preferably in Economics, Accounting or Mathematics
At least 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in Operations (Remittance, Treasury Operations or Trade Services)
Good knowledge of Exchange Control Law, Bank of Thailand Rules and Regulations, and AMLO
At least 3 years in a supervisory role
Good written and spoken English; high integrity and trustworthy
