Senior Product Owner (Finance)

The Senior Product Owner drives the product vision and strategy for finance technology products within the Finance Transformation team at CP Axtra. The role involves ensuring the team has accurate details on what to build, developing a deep understanding of finance processes across Makro and Lotus's, and building relationships with the CFO organization. The position requires a candidate from the Finance or business side to define the business strategy and own the end-to-end product strategy from inception to production.

Set an ambitious, clear product vision for finance platforms and data products, and communicate the story effectively to stakeholders and the team.

Own the end-to-end product strategy from inception, and determine business value once a solution enters production.

Build the product backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria together with the work-cell team.

Continuously develop the backlog, ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized.

Ensure customer-driven design considering finance user pain points and usability results, using domain knowledge to deliver a well-positioned product.

Deep knowledge of relevant finance domains, products, and journeys (reporting, planning, close, AP/AR, controls).

Solid knowledge of finance and industry trends, user demands, and pain points to create a high-value product vision.

Comfortable with technology/IT to engage in discussion with the tech team and understand risks.

Experience in Agile development, with Product Owner (or similar) experience preferred; confident managing the backlog and using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello).

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex messages and trade-offs.
