This is a summer internship with Agoda’s Back End Engineering department in Bangkok, running from 24 May to 30 July 2027. The intern will contribute to scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs, work with Python, RAG, Skills, and MCP, apply CI/CD and testing practices, and consider the full product lifecycle from requirements and technology selection through coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Applicants must be studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, with practical Python and Kotlin knowledge. Familiarity with object-oriented or functional programming, relational or non-relational databases, good English communication, and a willingness to learn quickly are required. The posting welcomes applicants at different career levels.
Contribute to scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that serve millions of requests.
Work with Python, RAG, Skills, and MCP.
Apply state-of-the-art CI/CD and testing techniques to maintain operation without downtime.
Consider the full product lifecycle, from requirements and technology selection to coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Studying for a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
Practical knowledge of Python and Kotlin.
Familiarity with the basics of object-oriented and/or functional programming.
Familiarity with relational and/or non-relational databases.
Good English communication skills and readiness to learn quickly.
Experience building back-end applications and services, understanding system scaling, familiarity with LLM tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, MCP, and Skills, and core engineering infrastructure tools including Git, TeamCity, and Puppet.
