About the position
Agoda's Infrastructure Platform Development team in Bangkok is hiring a Software Development Intern for the cooperative internship period of January–May 2027 or August–December 2027. The intern will help design, build, and scale Agoda's internal infrastructure platforms, including the self-built infrastructure management system, and create tools and scripts that interact with OpenStack and Kubernetes.
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, have programming experience in Go or Python, and be comfortable with Linux, Bash, Git, and Docker. The role requires current legal authorization to work in Thailand without visa sponsorship. Working language is English.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and implement ideas to contribute to Agoda's infrastructure platform, including the self-built infrastructure management system
Work on challenges related to scaling, reliability and automation of the modern platform infrastructure
Interact with OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry and other industry-leading tools to build and optimize infrastructure
Investigate and troubleshoot performance issues across core infrastructure components, driving performance tuning and optimization
Create tools and scripts to interact with core components like OpenStack and Kubernetes
Requirements
Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related fields
Some years of programming experience at university level in a modern programming language, preferably Go or Python
Basic knowledge of development ecosystems like Git and Docker
Comfortable working in the Linux command line environment including Bash scripting
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; working language is English
Nice to have
Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab or GitHub Actions) and configuration-as-code pipelines
Experience managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters, OpenStack or other virtualization platforms
Advanced Docker knowledge including Dockerfiles and multi-stage builds
Knowledge of physical architecture at scale, including resilient, highly available and fault-tolerant systems
