Sertis, an ASEAN data and AI engineering company based in Bangkok, is hiring a Data Engineer Intern to support real-world data pipeline projects. The intern will work with experienced data engineers to collect, transform, and organize data from multiple sources, implement ETL processes, and monitor infrastructure performance. The role offers hands-on exposure to data engineering for AI/ML use cases, containerization technologies, and collaboration with an international team.
Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with knowledge of SQL and Python. Basic familiarity with Docker, containerization, and big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive is expected, along with an interest in public cloud technologies and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Manipulate data from different sources
Select and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities
Implement ETL process
Monitor performance and advise on necessary infrastructure changes
Work within a team supporting software and data system development, training, integration, and test infrastructure
Currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any related fields
Knowledge of SQL database maintenance and Python
Basic knowledge of containerization technologies and Docker
Basic knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive
Good communication skills; ability to work independently or in a team environment
Interest in public cloud technologies; ability to quickly learn new technologies; interest in data engineering for AI/ML use cases
