Agoda is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Developer Platform & DevOps team in Bangkok, with relocation provided. The role leads a team of at least five engineers responsible for core developer platforms, CI/CD, source control, service discovery, and deployment tooling used across Agoda's R&D. The manager combines hands-on software development with people leadership, setting technical direction and improving developer productivity, reliability, and security at scale.
The position requires strong full SDLC software development experience, coding in Go or Python, and applied knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, containerisation, and cloud-native practices using Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience managing Agile or Scrum teams and making data-driven decisions is expected. Familiarity with React.js, Ansible, Consul, Vault, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch is a plus.
Lead hands-on software development across design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations
Build developer platforms and internal tools that improve engineering productivity
Scale CI/CD and security automation across approximately 1 million pipelines per month
Own core developer systems, including source control, CI, service discovery, and deployment platforms
Set technical direction, coach engineers, and build a high-performing team
Lead an engineering team with at least 5 direct reports
Demonstrate strong software development experience across the full SDLC
Code confidently in a modern language, preferably Go or Python
Build software systems, internal platforms, or developer tools
Apply CI/CD, DevOps, containerisation, and cloud-native practices using Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
Built developer platforms or engineering productivity tools
Developed full-stack applications using React.js and Go
Worked with Kubernetes, Ansible, Consul, or Vault
Used SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch
Improved observability, platform reliability, security automation, or developer experience
