CP Axtra (Makro) is hiring a Senior Data Scientist based in Nawamin, Bangkok, to design and deliver AI, machine learning, and automation solutions supporting retail and digital transformation initiatives. The role builds scalable data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and predictive models, and applies machine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, and experimentation to business problems.
The Senior Data Scientist implements MLOps practices including deployment, monitoring, retraining, and CI/CD, develops GenAI/LLM applications and automation tools, and works in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Candidates need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, 5+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, or Applied AI, strong Python and SQL skills, and hands-on experience with frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, plus PySpark and Azure Databricks.
Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML and automation solutions
Build scalable data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and predictive models
Apply machine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, and experimentation techniques to business problems
Implement MLOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and CI/CD workflows
Develop GenAI/LLM-based applications and automation tools; mentor junior data scientists
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied AI
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Experience with big data processing and cloud platforms such as PySpark and Azure Databricks
Retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or digital business experience; Azure ML, MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes; GenAI, LLM applications, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines; data governance and PDPA knowledge; mentoring experience; AI, Cloud, or Data Science certifications.
