aCommerce, a large brand ecommerce enabler in Southeast Asia, is hiring a Senior Inventory Accountant in Bangkok. The role focuses on reconciling inventory-related general ledger balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving accounting errors and discrepancies, and reviewing inventory reserve calculations. The accountant prepares adjusting and month-end journal entries, maintains procedures ensuring transactions follow proper authorization, and keeps accurate, timely records of business transactions.
Candidates need a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least two years of progressive accounting experience with cost or inventory accounting strongly preferred, strong analytical and reporting skills, proficiency in MS Office, and a solid understanding of inventory accounting controls and GAAP adherence. The role also involves ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects.
Reconcile inventory-related general ledger balance sheet accounts on a timely basis.
Prepare, review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items.
Perform review of inventory reserve calculations.
Prepare adjusting and month-end journal entries.
Maintain procedures ensuring transactions are executed in accordance with general or specific authorization.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent discipline.
2+ years of progressive accounting experience; cost/inventory accounting strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with sound judgment on data analysis.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong understanding of inventory accounting controls and adherence to GAAP for inventory.
Experience within cost or inventory accounting is strongly preferred.
