Maintenance and Reliability Engineer - Shopee

Shopee Express is seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of our logistics facilities and operational equipment. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, driving preventive maintenance programs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our nationwide logistics network. This position requires a technical mindset to manage complex facility systems and a collaborative approach to work with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for logistics equipment and facility systems
• Ensure maximum uptime of operational equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, dock equipment, forklifts, and material handling systems
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues
• Coordinate corrective maintenance activities and manage emergency breakdown responses
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance KPIs, and recommend improvement initiatives
• Work closely with Operations teams to minimize operational disruptions during maintenance activities
• Manage external contractors and service providers to ensure work quality, safety, and compliance
• Plan and manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and equipment lifecycle
• Support installation, commissioning, relocation, and upgrades of new equipment and automation systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and preventive maintenance procedures
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and equipment performance analysis
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance operational efficiency

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines
• 5–8 years of experience in maintenance engineering, facility engineering, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or industrial operations
• Experience maintaining conveyors, automation systems, material handling equipment, or warehouse machinery is highly preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience managing maintenance contractors and vendors
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Good project management and communication skills

• Proficiency in maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of safety regulations and engineering standards
• Experience with budget planning and inventory management
