Department Manager, Insurance Operations - Thai Union

This role supports the Head of Insurance in managing and coordinating insurance programs across the Asia region. The position focuses on policy administration, renewals, claims coordination, and risk management activities to ensure effective coverage and compliance. You will work closely with global insurance programs and stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

You will be responsible for managing insurance documentation, policy reviews, and certificates across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves supporting risk transfer solutions, coverage optimization, and policy placement activities. You will also coordinate with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders to manage contractual requirements and claims follow-up.

• Manage and coordinate insurance policies, renewals, claims, certificates, and documentation across Asia to ensure compliance with global programs.
• Support insurance program reviews, risk transfer solutions, coverage optimization, and policy placement activities while maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Coordinate with brokers, insurers, factories, legal teams, and other stakeholders on insurance matters, risk assessments, and contractual requirements.
• Support risk engineering visits, preventive action tracking, governance procedures, and training initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Provide operational and analytical support to the Head of Insurance through reporting, policy analysis, market reviews, and special projects.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in corporate insurance, brokerage, insurance operations, risk management, or insurance program management.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, renewals, claims management, policy reviews, certificates of insurance, and risk control practices.
• Experience coordinating with brokers, insurers, legal teams, factories, and business stakeholders in a regional or multinational environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Thai; additional Asian languages are an advantage.
• Professional insurance or risk management certifications are preferred.

• Proficiency in additional Asian languages.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with data analytics tools for risk reporting.
