Agoda is offering a cooperative internship in Bangkok within its Technology department, focused on database infrastructure supporting 1,000+ database servers with millisecond response times and high uptime. Interns will work on database design, data management, database development with automated CI/CD pipelines, and building Docker images for product development teams.
Candidates should hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with an understanding of database design concepts, ER diagrams, and SQL. Familiarity with relational and/or non-relational databases, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent English communication are required. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Linux/shell scripting, or database performance tuning is a plus.
Build database docker in different engines to provide for developer to use in their development
Develop database SQL code with quality and performance optimization
Setup migrate and re-architect Agoda production database to support business growth
Proactive monitoring to detect unusual behavior on production database and coordinate with Engineering team to optimize query performance
Research and implement automation tools to reduce human time on daily basis
B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Systems / Computer Engineering or related field
Understand database design concept, ER diagram and ability to write SQL query
Love to solve problem with good analysis skill and always try to make thing better
Familiar with relational and/or non-relational databases
Excellent English written and verbal communication
Knowledge about database high availability or query performance tuning
Knowledge in Docker or Kubernetes
Practical knowledge with database management, Windows, PowerShell, Linux and shell script
Proficient in Python
