The HCL Operations Lead is a management role covering total Home Care Liquid packing and the transformation of Home Care Powder production at Unilever’s Minburi Factory. The role leads operators and coordinates with Manufacturing, HR, Quality, and Safety while overseeing daily production, troubleshooting, operational improvement, waste reduction, and performance targets.
Candidates need an engineering background, at least five years of managerial experience, and practical knowledge of autonomous maintenance in manufacturing or FMCG. The role also requires English communication, coaching, influencing, and leadership skills, plus knowledge of preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, factory controls, and relevant manufacturing processes and filling machinery.
Provide governance and leadership support for semi-autonomous teams, including performance monitoring, overtime allocation, working patterns, and dispute resolution.
Lead operational-process improvement projects and projects supporting factory initiatives.
Use UMS methodologies and IP processes to counter losses and eradicate waste.
Oversee daily production activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure targets are met.
Liaise with Manufacturing, HR, Quality, and Safety to support factory-wide delivery.
Engineering education background.
At least 5 years of managerial experience.
Practical experience applying autonomous maintenance strategies in manufacturing or general engineering, preferably in FMCG.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment and converse in English.
Strong coaching, influencing, and leadership skills, with knowledge of preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, factory controls, and relevant manufacturing processes.
Experience in FMCG manufacturing and end-to-end manufacturing processes for Home Care Powder and Home Care Liquid production.
