The Hostess welcomes and assists guests at Benihana, manages reservations, table allocation and seating, and coordinates with the restaurant service team to provide a smooth guest experience. The role handles guest inquiries and feedback, communicates waiting times, supports VIP guests and special requests, and maintains an organized hostess station, entrance, and reception area.
The preferred qualification is a diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, hotel management, tourism, or a related field, together with at least one year of experience in hostess, guest relations, F&B, or a similar guest-facing position. Experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, Japanese restaurant, fine dining, or international restaurant is advantageous. Strong communication, service, coordination, grooming, and multitasking skills are required.
Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Manage reservations, table allocation, seating arrangements, and guest flow.
Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and communicate waiting times.
Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager, servers, and other F&B team members.
Handle guest feedback, minor complaints, and escalate issues when required.
Diploma or bachelor's degree in hospitality management, hotel management, tourism, or a related field is preferred.
At least one year of experience in hostess, guest relations, F&B, or a similar guest-facing position.
Strong communication, interpersonal, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Pleasant, service-minded personality with a professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective when handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a Japanese restaurant, fine dining, or international restaurant is an advantage. Additional languages are an advantage.
