About the position
ERM is hiring an EHS Managing Consultant based in Bangkok, Thailand, to join its sustainability and EHS advisory practice serving global clients in O&G, chemicals, utilities, financial institutions, and process industries. The role involves delivering EHS management systems, compliance audits, due diligence assessments, and ESG/ES programs, while acting as Project Manager on medium-sized engagements and supporting senior staff on larger projects.
Candidates need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline, plus 8-12 years of relevant experience in consulting or engineering consulting. Strong knowledge of EHS audits, management systems, due diligence, and corporate EHS programs is required, with familiarity in IFC Performance Standards and ADB Safeguard Policy considered a plus. High English proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and support the team in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) services, especially management systems, strategic programs and compliance work.
Be responsible/ lead EHS compliance audits and due diligence assessments.
Take on Project Manager roles in execution of client's EHS/ESG/ES programs.
Identify and/or build opportunities with clients and develop proposals to meet client needs.
Deliver medium-sized projects / key elements of larger projects, working within quality/budget/schedule expectations.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or similar scientific discipline (MSc preferably).
Strong knowledge and experience in EHS Audits, EHS Management Systems, Due Diligence and Corporate EHS Programs and Standards.
8-12 years of experience, with work experience in consulting or engineering consulting required.
High proficiency in English; overseas degree and experience is a plus.
Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
Experience with IFC Performance Standards and ADB Safeguard Policy; hands-on health and safety program implementation and energy audit experience; overseas degree and experience; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
