The QA Engineer role within IT Quality Assurance is responsible for application and service quality, including usability, functionality, and performance. The position involves defining automation-testing approaches, reviewing requirements and architecture designs, identifying risks, planning testing activities, and developing automation test scripts, suites, and frameworks.
The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field. The role requires at least three years of automation testing experience with Robot Framework and Appium, strong knowledge of automation testing processes and lifecycles, and experience with web applications, APIs or web services, and mobile testing. Additional automation tools include UFT, Katalon, Selenium WebDriver, and Cypress.
• Define the automation-testing approach and methodology, and gather and analyze automation-test requirements
• Review product requirements and architecture designs, identify relevant risks, and ensure product testability
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts, test suites, or automation test frameworks
• Master at least one mainstream automated testing tool, including Appium, Selenium, or Robot Framework
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of automation-testing processes and the automation-testing lifecycle
• At least three years of automation-testing experience with Robot Framework and Appium
• Experience with alternative automation tools such as UFT, Katalon, Selenium WebDriver, or Cypress
• Experience automating tests for web applications, APIs or web services, and mobile applications
