About the position

Makro PRO (CP Axtra) is hiring a Tech Lead to drive digital transformation initiatives. The role involves designing scalable, flexible systems, working closely with the Head of Engineering, Head of Product, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and release timeframes, and leading a development squad with guidance and suggestions.

Key duties include backlog sizing and recommendations for user stories, controlling coding quality to meet team standards, initiating solutions for problem-solving, and participating in building complex systems and architecture designs. Candidates need strong English communication, backend OOP experience (preferably Node.js), SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL knowledge, GitOps familiarity (ArgoCD, Kubestack), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and experience with complex systems, open API standards, and service-oriented architecture.

Responsibilities

Drive digital transformation by creating and breaking ideas and solutions that surpass market trends

Understand stakeholders and create flexible systems that scale up and out with the market

Work closely with Head of Engineering, Head of Product and stakeholders to define roadmap and timeframes for each product release

Lead the development squad, provide suggestions and guidelines, and initiate ideas/solutions for problem-solving

Provide user story backlog sizing and recommendations, control coding quality, and take part in building complex systems and architecture designs

Requirements

Good communication in English across teams and stakeholders

Experience and in-depth knowledge in backend OOP languages, preferably Node.js or open source technologies

Experience with relational database queries such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Familiar with GitOps environments such as ArgoCD, Kubestack, or similar

Experience in automation code deployments or tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar

Experience in container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or similar

Experience in complex systems, latest open API standards and service-oriented architecture
