About the position

You will join a full-service planning studio dedicated to helping customers realize their dream homes while ensuring a seamless, end-to-end customer experience. Your role involves translating customer needs and aspirations into practical, smart home solutions using IKEA products. You will actively promote all available store services to guide customers toward informed decisions, thereby enhancing their overall shopping journey. The position requires a strong focus on maximizing sales performance while maintaining profitability through the promotion of high-priority items. You will collaborate with your team to ensure the planning hub operates efficiently, minimizing wait times and maintaining a welcoming, organized environment. Additionally, you will support broader store operations by assisting with various duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Transform customer needs and frustrations into relevant and smart home solutions.
  • Actively learn and share detailed knowledge of IKEA product features and benefits with customers and colleagues.
  • Promote all available IKEA store services, including measuring, assembly, installation, transport, and finance, to help customers make informed choices.
  • Maximize sales targets by actively steering customers toward top-selling and prioritized products, such as overstock items.
  • Collaborate with management and the team to ensure the planning hub operates with high efficiency and minimal customer wait times.
  • Maintain the planning hub in excellent condition, ensuring it is welcoming, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Support store operations by assisting with various duties and tasks as assigned to foster a spirit of teamwork.

Requirements

  • Possess a strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for serving people.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for the IKEA product range, specifically within the planning studio categories of kitchens, living room storage, wardrobes, and bathrooms.
  • Actively learn about all relevant IKEA services and apply this knowledge to exceed customer expectations throughout the end-to-end purchase process.
  • Have experience and knowledge of interior design principles and SketchUp software.

  • Proven ability to exceed customer expectations in complex purchase scenarios.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey product knowledge and build rapport with diverse customers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support colleagues during peak periods.
