About the position
This role serves as the regional focal point for employee assistance within the APAC region, leading the response to critical incidents such as security threats, travel disruptions, medical emergencies, evacuations, and employee fatalities. The position requires operational leadership and case coordination to ensure employees receive timely, compassionate, and compliant support during both routine operations and high-impact crisis events. You will act as the primary liaison between the Global Protection and Security (GP&S) team and key stakeholders, including Human Resources, Legal, and Crisis Management, to minimize organizational risk and support informed decision-making.
The Employee Assistance Manager is responsible for overseeing complex employee assistance cases from initial notification through resolution while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. You will develop and maintain regional procedures and playbooks, conduct after-action reviews to incorporate lessons learned, and analyze program metrics to measure effectiveness and identify trends. This role involves preparing executive-level operational reports and supporting monthly and quarterly operational reviews to drive continuous improvement in employee support capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional employee assistance efforts during security incidents, natural disasters, and political unrest
- Coordinate support for employees impacted by travel disruptions, evacuations, urgent medical matters, and fatalities
- Serve as the regional Employee Assistance lead during crisis activations and coordinate with Corporate Security teams
- Build strong partnerships with Human Resources, Legal, Workplace, Travel, and Medical Assistance providers
- Oversee complex employee assistance cases from initial notification through resolution
- Develop and maintain regional employee assistance procedures and playbooks
- Conduct after-action reviews following significant incidents and incorporate lessons learned
- Analyze regional employee assistance program metrics and KPIs to identify trends
- Prepare executive-level operational reports and briefing materials for leadership
- Maintain comprehensive program documentation including SOPs and audit-ready records
Requirements
- APATAP CTM certification, ASIS CPP certification, or DHS TERC certification
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide clear guidance during stressful situations
- Proven stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Uncompromised ethics and integrity
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities
- Effective time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Must be able to handle highly confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and cross-regional teams
Nice to have
- Language skills in multiple languages
- Experience with ambiguity and ability to drive towards clarity
- Comfortable with 24/7 on-call rotation including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
Compensation
THB 120,000 - THB 200,000
