Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer - CBRE

This role focuses on the operation and maintenance of building automation systems to ensure optimal efficiency and cost control. The position involves providing technical support, preventive maintenance, and repairs for various facility systems. You will oversee contractor work and manage work orders to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.

• Manage comprehensive facilities systems management programs for electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives regarding system operations and safety.
• Inspect systems to verify equipment operates within design capabilities and meets client specifications.
• Oversee the development of scopes, scheduling, and inspection of work performed by outside contractors.
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations and coordinate necessary assistance.
• Review work orders to estimate time, resources, and order materials for repairs.
• Perform emergency, preventive, and corrective maintenance while maintaining accurate records.
• Complete required training at a satisfactory level.
• Participate in incident investigations, audits, and assessments.
• Report hazardous conditions and stop work when necessary to ensure safety.
• Apply in-depth technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach team members and share knowledge across multiple disciplines.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with company values.

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Licenses or certifications as required by local applicable law or ordinance.
• Prior shift leader or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing stairs/ladders and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Strong judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to adopt new perspectives on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

• Experience in facilities management or building engineering.
• Strong communication skills for explaining difficult or sensitive information.
