SAP Manager - Japanese Client Services - Deloitte

You will serve as a core member of the SAP project proposal and promotion team, leading initiatives to drive digital transformation for Japanese clients expanding into Southeast Asia. Your role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements definition to design, development, testing, and offshore management. You will leverage global modeling tools and industry-specific solutions to lead large-scale SAP projects focused on business reconstruction and strengthening global collaboration. As a Manager, you will demonstrate leadership within mixed teams of local and Japanese Client Services members, using your strengths to support both project delivery and client development.

This position is critical for managing the increasing demand for integrated global management and transparency. You will handle complex themes such as business process visualization, governance strengthening, and data-driven decision-making. The role requires a proactive approach to engaging with diverse stakeholders and actively participating in developing new solutions that create customer value. You will work within a dynamic environment where Southeast Asian market trends often precede those in Japan, handling topics ranging from new company establishment to business unit restructuring.

• Lead SAP projects from planning and conceptualization through to offshore management, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, and go-live preparation.
• Utilize global modeling tools and industry-specific solutions to drive business reconstruction and enhance global collaboration for clients.
• Manage mixed teams comprising local and Japanese Client Services members, demonstrating strong leadership and mentorship.
• Proactively engage with diverse stakeholders to secure new business opportunities and deliver SAP and related services.
• Develop and propose new solutions that create customer value and address emerging market needs in Southeast Asia.
• Align team objectives with key client priorities and set clear directions for project execution.

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese with business-level English, or native-level proficiency in English with business-level Japanese.
• Proven track record of leading projects and contributing to securing new business through proposal activities.
• Experience in SAP implementation within a consulting firm or technology vendor, covering one or more business areas.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more phases of SAP implementation, from business requirements definition to stabilization.
• Project management or leadership experience specifically in SAP core system package implementation.
• Experience leading specific business areas or entire projects in SAP implementation.

• Experience with S/4HANA implementation specifically.
• Comprehensive experience covering all phases from requirements definition onward in SAP implementation projects.
• Project management and team leadership experience in global projects.
• Consulting experience related to Southeast Asia markets.
• Strong ability to communicate proactively with diverse stakeholders to drive delivery and acquisition.
• Mindset for actively participating in developing new solutions and generating customer value.
