About the position
Financial Business Controlling and Planning role at Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited, based in Bangkok. The position acts as a business partner to business managers, leading the local Controlling team to optimize financial performance within assigned Business Units/Product Group, and supports decisions through monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of financial data.
Key duties include business planning and forecasting, performance monitoring and decision support, risk management, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance, stakeholder communication, and people leadership. Candidates need a master's degree in Finance or Accounting, 4-8 years of finance experience including P&L responsibility and team leadership, strong business controlling skills, SAP/S4Hana knowledge, and fluency in Thai and English.
Responsibilities
Contribute to strategy definition for operating units and serve as key partner to business leaders
Oversee business planning and forecasting, evaluating financial implications of strategic decisions
Monitor business performance, advise management on action plans, and drive cost structure, productivity, and capital efficiency
Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks; execute risk review procedures per global policies
Establish processes for transparent financial data, ensure reporting quality, internal controls, and audit support
Requirements
Minimum master's degree in Finance or Accounting; ACCA, CPA or similar is an advantage
4 to 8 years of finance experience with P&L responsibility and team leadership, ideally in similar industry
Strong business controlling skills; SAP experience, latest SAP S/4Hana is an advantage
Good communication in Thai and English, willingness to work in multi-country environment, ability to travel domestically and overseas
People leadership capabilities, change leadership, intercultural sensitivity, result-oriented and flexible
Nice to have
ACCA, CPA or similar certification; experience in similar industry
