Risk & Safety Consultant - LNG and Green Fuels

AFRY is hiring a Risk & Safety Consultant to support its energy business across Southeast Asia, focused on LNG and Green Fuels projects. The role involves delivering engineering and consultancy services from project development through FEED, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, and basic engineering for LNG-to-Power projects in Asia, with leadership of conceptual design for onshore and floating LNG regasification terminals.

The consultant will develop QRA, ERA, FMEA, RAM, SIMOPS, ship collision, fire risk and DAL studies; perform CFD modeling; and review HAZID/HAZOP and SIL assessments. Candidates need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, 3-6 years of relevant LNG regasification terminal experience, strong English communication skills, and proficiency with Aspen HYSYS, PHAST 2D, Safeti, Pipenet, ANSYS FLUENT and FLACS.

Develop Dropped Object Risk Assessment, Failure Risks Scenarios, SIMOPS Study, Materials Handling Study, ERA, FMEA, RAM Study, Ship Collision Study Report, Fire Risk Analysis Report, and Dimensioning Accidental Load (DAL) Report

Develop a complete QRA by using Safeti software independently for LNG terminals, including gas dispersion and FERA studies

Perform Single Point Failure Analysis, RAM studies, and ALARP assessments

Conduct Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA) and Emergency System Survivability Studies (ESSA)

Execute CFD Modeling using ANSYS FLUENT and FLACS, and review HAZID/HAZOP and SIL assessment studies

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university

3 to 6 years of Risk & safety engineering/design experience in LNG regasification terminals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Consulting firm experience is an advantage

Proficiency using Aspen HYSYS, PHAST 2D, Safeti, and Pipenet software
