About the position
Youtap is an international fintech company providing payment, digital banking, loyalty and commerce platforms. The Head of Software Engineering will actively code and lead software development, writing production code and setting coding standards. They will lead frontend, backend, and QA teams in Bangkok, manage technical delivery, and integrate AI tools into the development process. The role requires a senior leader who can resolve complex technical issues, mentor engineering teams, and work directly with customers on requirements and integrations.
Responsibilities
Write, review and deliver production-quality code.
Lead full-stack development across frontend and backend systems.
Set coding standards and guide architecture and technical decisions.
Lead code reviews, resolve complex technical issues and improve engineering quality.
Manage, mentor and develop the engineering and QA teams.
Requirements
Strong, current full-stack development experience.
Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React and PostgreSQL.
Experience with cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Helm, APIs, microservices and CI/CD.
Proven leadership of frontend, backend and QA teams.
Advanced practical experience with AI-assisted software development.
Nice to have
Experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, telecommunications technology or a similar enterprise software sector.
