Electrical Engineering Manager - Shopee

Lead the electrical engineering operations for Shopee Express facilities, overseeing the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects from design through to commissioning and maintenance. Manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient execution of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and substations. Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Drive project management efforts to deliver electrical infrastructure on time, within budget, and to the highest technical specifications.

• Supervise electrical engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance for Shopee Express facilities.
• Lead the design of electrical components including HV/LV transformers, switchgear, substations, MCC, VFD, cabling, lighting, and PLC systems.
• Review and critique proposed changes against engineering standards, policies, and technical details.
• Evaluate company and third-party engineering documents such as MTO electrical, load lists, cable lists, and electrical key one lines.
• Support the tendering process by estimating budgets and evaluating vendor quotations and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise construction and commissioning activities performed by vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct expediting and inspection of electrical equipment and field-installation services.
• Liaise with external engineering companies and facilitate information exchange between project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Manage and control projects based on cost, timeline, and quality metrics.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in similar industries, with at least partial experience in an international setting.
• In-depth knowledge of local EIT regulations and international legal standards regarding electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in engineering software including AutoCAD and EPLAN.
• Comprehensive understanding of process control systems and HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
