Core Transport Network Engineer - True Corporation

This role focuses on planning, designing, and managing the Core Transport DWDM/ASON network infrastructure to support Mobile, Broadband, and Corporate Data services. You will define technical standards and guidelines to ensure nationwide coverage that aligns with company objectives and meets the high-bandwidth needs of enterprise customers. The position requires overseeing end-to-end project budgets, managing vendor and supplier performance, and governing Managed Service Providers to ensure optimal technical and commercial outcomes.

You will provide technical advisory during procurement processes and contract development. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to manage vendor performance and governance, while also setting priorities and allocating resources for budget planning. You will act as an expert in technical contract and procurement matters, ensuring that all technical specifications and acceptance criteria are met.

• Own the design and capacity planning for the Core Transport DWDM/ASON network
• Research emerging technology trends and develop technical requirements to match business needs
• Write and approve technical specifications as well as acceptance criteria
• Evaluate vendor proposals and identify pros and cons
• Gather requirements from internal and external customers to create High Level Designs and capacity expansion plans
• Summarize scope and cost estimation for projects
• Finalize Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and manage the purchasing process in parallel with shipment planning
• Lead cross-functional teams to manage Core Transport DWDM/ASON vendor and supplier performance
• Govern Managed Service Providers and business partners
• Set priorities and allocate resources for Core Transport budget planning and management
• Provide technical advisory on procurement processes and contract development

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in Transmission planning and 5 years in Project implementation and management
• Advanced knowledge of transmission technology
• Basic knowledge of Mobile 5G
• Basic knowledge of Broadband FTTx
• Good command of both English and Thai

• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience in contract negotiation and commercial management
• Deep understanding of network architecture and service delivery models
