Staff Product Designer - EarnIn

EarnIn is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead the comprehensive redesign of our product suite and rebuild our design system from the ground up. You will define the architectural parameters and documentation that empower cross-functional teams to build products efficiently. This role requires a systems thinker who can translate visual design languages into scalable, reusable components and patterns. You will work closely with engineering teams across iOS, Android, and web to ensure the system is implemented effectively.

You will be responsible for setting new standards for product design at EarnIn. This involves building and maintaining the component libraries, defining high-level pattern guidance, and developing the tooling that makes the system operational. You will also lead the education and adoption of the system, establishing the guidelines and rulebook for long-term implementation. Additionally, you will build and maintain AI tooling that turns system components into working code and prototypes.

• Collaborate with the design team to evolve and extend the visual design language using systems thinking
• Build and maintain component libraries and high-level pattern guidance for cross-platform consistency
• Define and document design patterns to ensure reusability across the organization
• Guide product designers on how to leverage the design system effectively
• Lead the education and adoption of the design system, establishing guidelines for long-term maintenance
• Build and maintain AI tooling that converts system components into working code and prototypes

• 7+ years of experience as a design systems or product designer
• Proven experience leading or collaborating on the creation of design system architecture for digital products
• Strong Figma craft, including component properties, variants, auto layout, and tokens
• Experience partnering with engineers to translate Figma designs into production code
• Comfortable writing documentation that is actually used by other designers
• Strong understanding of WCAG requirements, Android, and iOS guidelines
• Ability to set the bar for new standards in product design
• Experience building or using AI tools for Figma-to-code workflows or design tooling

• Experience with HTML, CSS, or SVG
• Strong understanding of how systems integrate into workflows and cross-functional collaboration
