About the position

The People team at Agoda is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Global People Relations Services team based in Bangkok. This role involves managing a team of consultants who provide trusted guidance and operational support on complex employee matters, including performance concerns, misconduct, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant handling of sensitive workplace issues while strengthening manager decision-making and risk management. This position requires balancing business pragmatism with sound judgment in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

You will lead and develop a global team, deliver high-quality support on complex employee relations cases, and partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and HR Business Partners to establish robust case governance practices. Additionally, you will coach managers to handle difficult situations effectively and use data and insights to continuously improve people practices and service delivery models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a global People Relations services team, managing, coaching, and building capability in case management and investigations
  • Deliver high-quality support on complex employee matters including performance concerns, misconduct, grievances, and disciplinary actions
  • Strengthen case governance, consistency, and risk management by partnering with Legal, Compliance, and HR Business Partners
  • Coach and support managers in handling difficult employee situations effectively and constructively
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for intervention to improve outcomes
  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of Agoda’s global People Services operating model

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR business partnering, labor/employment advisory, or investigations
  • Strong hands-on experience managing complex and sensitive employee matters with sound judgment
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or developing others to build team capability
  • Strong understanding of employment law concepts, case management principles, and disciplinary approaches
  • Experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and stakeholder groups in a global organization
  • Ability to balance consistency and compliance with pragmatism and business needs
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify trends and turn insights into practical action
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong operating discipline, attention to detail, and ability to manage ambiguity
  • High levels of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Experience in a centralized, regional, or global People Services / HR operations environment
  • Experience in a technology, internet, digital, or high-growth international business
  • Familiarity with restructuring, organizational change, or workforce transition support
  • Experience improving service delivery models, case management frameworks, or governance
