About the position

The HR Business Partner for the Commercial function will serve as a strategic partner to Agoda's Supply and Strategic Partnerships teams. This role involves driving people strategies and supporting organizational effectiveness to align with business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and People Centers of Excellence to deliver on people priorities and support the company's evolving needs.

In this position, you will define and deliver a compelling People Roadmap that addresses both company-wide priorities and the unique needs of specific departments. You will use data and insights to inform decision-making and track the impact of people initiatives. Additionally, you will serve as a change agent, leading talent identification, retention, and development efforts to build a strong leadership bench.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with senior managers to deeply understand business strategy, culture, and the talent landscape
  • Define, shape, and deliver a compelling People Roadmap for high-impact programs and solutions
  • Implement proactive, scalable, and future-proof HR solutions that drive long-term value
  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders
  • Serve as a change agent supporting organizational transformation and continuous improvement
  • Lead talent identification, retention, and development, including talent reviews and succession planning
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, organizational design, and change management
  • Build capability across the People Team and establish a clear operating model for seamless collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in HR Business Partnering roles
  • Demonstrated experience embedding People and culture into business leadership at scale
  • Ability to flex between company-wide strategy and tailored solutions for specific business groups
  • Expertise in leadership effectiveness, engagement, talent management, rewards, and organizational design
  • Experience with workforce planning, organizational agility, and leading change initiatives
  • Outstanding ability to communicate with influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to cope well with ambiguity and change
  • Willingness to get hands-on and tackle operational HR tasks as needed
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Experience defining and implementing People charters, frameworks, or operating models
  • Multicultural or international experience
  • Humility, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
