Senior Technical Project Engineer (Automation and Communication)

Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited is seeking a Senior Technical Project Engineer to lead the technical execution of Automation and Communication projects in Bangkok. The role acts as the Project Technical Lead Engineer, coordinating engineering work, reviewing deliverables, supporting testing and acceptance activities, and managing technical quality, safety, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual requirements through project close-out.

The successful candidate should hold an engineering degree or equivalent qualification and typically have 5-10+ years of relevant project engineering experience, preferably in power, automation, communication, or infrastructure projects. The position requires technical document review, engineering coordination, stakeholder management, customer support, testing and commissioning support, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and documentation skills.

• Lead technical execution of assigned Automation and Communication projects from handover through close-out.
• Translate customer requirements and contract specifications into practical, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate engineering activities and review key deliverables for completeness, consistency, and scope alignment.
• Support project testing, FAT, installation, commissioning, SAT, customer acceptance, and as-built documentation.
• Identify risks, open points, changes, and technical issues; support corrective actions and project close-out.

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in electrical, automation, communication, power systems, or a related field.
• Typically 5-10+ years of relevant project engineering experience.
• Understanding of project execution, customer requirements, engineering coordination, testing support, and site support.
• Ability to review technical documents, coordinate stakeholders, and drive actions to closure.
• Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, documentation, and office and collaboration tool skills.
