Principal Data Scientist

The Principal Data Scientist is a senior individual contributor leading advanced analytics and machine-learning initiatives for high-impact opportunities. The role involves partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and business leaders to solve complex problems and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. Responsibilities include identifying high-leverage problems, translating ambiguity into measurable objectives, leading the design and deployment of ML and AI solutions, and owning the full lifecycle from experimentation to production. The position requires extensive hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and statistics, along with strong Python and SQL skills. The ideal candidate will influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Identify and solve high-leverage problems across Agoda.

Translate ambiguous problems into measurable objectives and technical solutions.

Lead the design and deployment of ML, AI, and analytical solutions.

Own solutions from problem definition and experimentation through production deployment, measurement, and iteration.

Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape strategy and roadmaps.

Extensive hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and statistics.

Experience delivering production models with measurable customer or business impact.

Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with large-scale data and ML platforms.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
