The Data Center Engineering team drives the physical design of Google's data centers into the future. You will work on complex topics such as power usage, environmental sustainability, and state-of-the-art facility operations. This role requires a visionary approach to optimizing efficiency and driving continuous improvements. You will collaborate with senior executives and facilities technicians to implement infrastructure upgrades that have a significant impact. In this position, you will oversee data center projects from site due diligence through construction and operations. You will manage a comprehensive electrical scope, including power supply options, onsite generation, substation arrangements, and system resilience. You will partner with Architects and Engineers to drive technical design across multiple projects, ensuring all safety standards and Google requirements are met. You will also drive cross-disciplinary coordination for rapid construction and integrate the latest electrical technologies into infrastructure roadmaps.
