Software Tester/Intermediate + Senior

Hitachi Digital Services is hiring a Software Tester at the Intermediate to Senior level for its Cloud & Data Engineering function in Bangkok, within the Software Development Engineering (High Tech) team that builds end-user applications and platform software for external customers. The role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, writing software using programming, scripting, and database languages, and supporting testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities including fixing defects, handling scope changes, and coding enhancements.

The position also includes coaching and reviewing work of junior professionals and applying software development best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Problems faced are described as difficult and sometimes complex.

Conducting requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics

Using programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the software code

Supporting software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements

Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals

Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex
