VP, Wholesale & Operations Audit

UOB Thailand is hiring a Vice President for Wholesale & Operations Audit based in Bangkok. The role leads, supervises and executes audit engagements, reviews draft audit observations and reports before submission to the Division Head, follows up on prior audit recommendations, and develops new audit techniques and tools. The position also coordinates performance evaluation of audit team members and handles ad-hoc assignments.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, with CPA, CIA, ACCA or CISA preferred. Candidates need 8-10 years of progressive internal/external audit or risk management experience in banking, with strong knowledge of wholesale banking products, banking operations, and relevant Thai and international regulatory requirements. Thai and English communication skills are required.

Lead, supervise and execute the audit works

Review the draft audit observations, audit report and submit to Division Head before communicating to respective Business Units

Perform ad-hoc and special jobs as assigned

Follow up implementation of all previous audit recommendations

Identify / develop new audit techniques, tools and update audit manual where applicable to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Internal Audit works

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CIA, ACCA, or CISA highly preferred

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management within banking or financial services, focused on wholesale banking and operations

In-depth knowledge of wholesale banking products, processes, and associated risks (credit, market, operational)

Strong understanding of banking operations including back-office processes, transaction processing, and IT general controls

Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English, with proven experience leading audit teams
