Part-Time Sales Associate

You will optimize the IKEA shopping experience within your area of responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth. Your role involves leveraging your knowledge of the IKEA product range and life at home to provide relevant solutions that exceed customer expectations. You will actively support the maximization of sales potential, turnover, and profit by ensuring a seamless and easy buying experience for every customer.

You are responsible for actively approaching customers who require assistance and identifying their specific needs through effective communication. You will maintain a clean, tidy, and fully stocked sales floor while adhering to IKEA merchandising standards to create a positive shopping environment. Additionally, you will support efficient payment, exchange, and returns processes, as well as the click-and-collect service, to ensure a smooth end-to-end customer journey.

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help and identify their needs by asking the right questions
• Advise customers on the best home furnishing solutions to exceed their expectations
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and fully stocked sales area while adhering to IKEA merchandising standards
• Support efficient execution of payments, exchanges, returns, and click-and-collect processes
• Apply home furnishing knowledge to provide relevant solutions throughout the customer's shopping journey
• Contribute to actions that ensure a "first time right" experience for all customers
• Assist with other job and operations-related duties as assigned to support team togetherness

• Commit to a minimum of 24 working hours per week (6-8 hours per day, 4 days a week)
• Be available to work on at least two weekdays as well as Saturday and Sunday
• Demonstrate confidence in approaching and talking to people in a polite and friendly manner
• Possess the right attitude and behavior to actively sell and help customers make purchasing decisions
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English
• Have knowledge of the IKEA product range, including service products
• Show a genuine interest in people's everyday life at home and home furnishing
