Country Business Manager for Bangladesh and Maldives (Contract)

AstraZeneca is hiring a Country Business Manager for Bangladesh and Maldives on a contract basis, based in South Asia and assigned to the Asia Area Frontier Markets Department. The role drives business performance and P&L across assigned Frontier Markets through distributor management, leads market strategy and product launches, and ensures cross-functional alignment with medical, marketing, regulatory, finance, and export hub teams to deliver sustainable growth.

Candidates should have an academic background in science or medicine, an MBA, and knowledge of the healthcare system, along with extensive experience in stakeholder management, marketing and sales drivers, and financial acumen. Fluency in English, strong strategic and communication skills, and proven experience in a similar role are required.

Responsible for the business performance and P&L in assigned Frontier markets through distributor teams

Work with medical, marketing and regulatory to identify launch brands and optimize AZ portfolio opportunities

Own strategies, tactics and marketing plans and improve them as required

Maintain strong relationships with local distributors and ensure smooth distributor operations

Manage resources to deliver business KPIs, regulatory timelines, market share and long-term country growth

Academic background in science and medicine

MBA and knowledge of the healthcare system

Extensive experience in relationships and stakeholder management

Knowledge of marketing and sales drivers, systems and processes

Fluent in English reading/writing/speaking with strong strategic, communication and presentation skills
