Data Scientist Intern

Sertis, an ASEAN data and AI engineering and solutions company based in Bangkok, is hiring a Data Scientist Intern. The intern will gain hands-on experience applying data and machine learning to real-world problems, working alongside experienced data scientists to explore data, develop and evaluate models, and communicate findings. Projects may involve LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, or computer vision.

Main duties include exploring, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify useful patterns; building, training, and evaluating machine learning or deep learning models; documenting experiments and sharing recommendations; and collaborating with the team on practical AI solutions. Candidates should be current Bachelor's students in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, or a related field with a foundation in Python, data analysis, and machine learning concepts.

Explore, clean, and analyze data to understand business problems and identify useful patterns.

Build, train, and evaluate machine learning or deep learning models for real-world use cases.

Experiment with approaches such as LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, or computer vision, depending on the project.

Compare model results, document experiments, and share findings and recommendations with the team.

Collaborate with data scientists and other team members to develop practical AI solutions.

Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.

Good foundation in Python, data analysis, and machine learning concepts.

Hands-on experience from coursework, personal projects, research, or competitions in LLMs and agentic AI, time series forecasting, computer vision, or training ML/DL models.

Familiar with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

Good communication and interpersonal skills and can work effectively with team members.
