UX/UI Product Designer (Design Engineer)

OOCA is a digital mental health company in Thailand hiring two designers who build their own work. The role involves designing UX and UI for mobile and web, then shipping the front end code. The company trains candidates with a software engineering background to become AI-augmented product designers. Responsibilities include mapping user journeys, running user interviews, designing AI-driven features, and owning the component library. The position requires working with engineers, stakeholders, and the CEO to set design standards.

Design UX and UI for mobile and web, end to end

Build designs in front-end code (React / TypeScript)

Map end-to-end user journeys and detailed user flows, defining clear information architecture for booking, onboarding, and crisis moments

Run user interviews: set the objective, recruit, moderate, synthesize

Design AI-driven features: loading states, wrong answers, handoff to a human clinician

Own the component library and design patterns in the repo

Work directly with engineers, stakeholders, and the CEO

Set the design standard for the team and teach what you learn

Front-end code that ships. React and TypeScript preferred. Can clone a repo, run it, open a PR

Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)

Strong visual craft: type, spacing, hierarchy, restraint

Responsive design experience, working alongside a dev team

Advanced proficiency in Figma (mastering Auto Layout, components, variables, and interactive prototyping)

Able to run a user interview that produces insight

Clear communicator who manages their own deliverable priorities

Fast learner, flexible, comfortable changing direction when evidence changes

Working Thai and English
